• Research on Foundation models for robotics, VLMs/VLAs, Digital-Twins, Sim2Real & Imitation learning for large-scale, generalized object manipulation tasks on a bi-manual UR5e robot.
• Completed projects on dynamic deformable object manipulation, multi-task generalized 3D manipulation policy & currently focusing on Language-conditioning, Open-world generalization, Rearrangement and Dynamics.
• Collaborating on multi-disciplinary NSF MRI GAIA-Wildfire project, and led the efforts for creation of high-fidelity Digital Twin-environment, Sim2Real transfer, and multi-agent RL for real-world wildfire detection and characterization.

• Contributed to the architectural enhancements of Simulation Stack supporting Toyota’s next-gen AD/ADAS. Developed C++ gRPC Client, OSI3 publishers, Openscenario, UI module, & a transformation engine.
• Developed a POC for a Universal Simulation Bridge (USB) - a backend component that unifies all in-house simulators across all teams, enabling cross-domain scenario development and validation across HILS/SILS/VILS environments.

Trade & Risk Management Team

• Responsible for design, development and enhancement of low-latency “Trade & Risk Management” product of ION’s WallStreet Suite treasury solution, which serves most Central banks and major Fortune-100 companies.
• Delivered backend features with high velocity and quality using a diverse technology stack including C++, Python, C++ Boost library, DBMS(Oracle, MS-SQL), Perl, Docker-CLI, Git, ION’s internal frameworks, CI/CD pipeline, Automated testing, and with concepts such as OOPS, SOLID principles and clean code methodologies.

Research Guide: Dr. Xie Ming

• Under guidance of Dr. Xie Ming worked on Collaborative UAV-UGV system for Search and Rescue Task.
• Implemented a Octomap based 3-D mapping approach using UAV and built a 2-D occupancy grid map of the surrounding which can further be used by UGV for navigation.
• Built a Human Detection system on the UAV using Yolo v3 tiny model in order to detect persons to be rescued.

Research Guide: Dr. Scott Nokleby

• Under guidance of Dr. Scott Nokleby worked on the project of developing an Autonomous Electric Wheelchair for children with physical disability.
• Built a simulation model of a wheelchair, added gazebo sensor plugins, implemented complete navigation stack, used RTABMap & Octomap mapping approach, and built a system for detecting negative obstacles.

• Under guidance of Dr. Shantipal Ohol worked on different collaborative projects, conducted various workshops & participated in Robotics competitions.
• Lab has the recognition of being the First “The Robotics Society(TRS), India - Student Chapter” of India.
• Briefly worked on 3-wheel Omni-directional mobile robot, implementation of FreeRTOS, State-estimation, Perception & Control of mobile robot and also explored NAO-6 Humanoid Robot.

Mobile Robotics Team

• Worked from proof of concept to development of ROS based Heavy duty Autonomous Mobile Robot capable of 500kg payload for autonomous navigation in a dynamic environment such as warehouse, healthcare facility,etc.
• Developed Electronic Design System, performed simulation on Gazebo and used Lidar point clouds & wheel odometry information in order to implement multiple SLAM algorithms.
